Weekly Grocery Deals

For the past few weeks I have been pretty slack on my grocery deals. I have been pre-occupied with healing after surgery and taking care of a teething toddler :) All very fun I assure you!

Anyhow, I've realized what a time consuming post it was to list each and every deal and I've realized I kind of like not doing it. There are some really good blogs out there that do a great job of listing the deals with the coupon matchups for each store.

One problem I've run into on those blogs is that they list EVERY deal. That's why I started this blog in the first place is to be a filter of all those deals from the other blogs and combine everything in one happy place with only the best deals.

For now though, I'm going to just give you the heads up on the best of the best deals and share some of my shopping trips with you. I have quite a stockpile going of freebies I've racked up so even if a tube of toothpaste is going to be $.50 after coupons and RR, I still don't go get it and may not think to tell you about it.
I will usually try to get ALL the freebies though. I either stockpile them for a later date or donate them or share them with friends and family.

I have a list on my right side bar of the ladies I think do the best job for each of our major stores around town. Be sure to check those blogs on Sunday or Monday if you need to do a grocery shopping trip that week. For example. I stocked up on groceries last week so I'm good this week. I may have to substitute with bread or milk throughout the week at some point but I don't need to go through all the ads and compare prices etc. You don't need to do this every week either!

I encourage you to make a menu each week to see what you do and don't need. That way if you know you're going to need something to go with the burgers you're making on Thursday, you might scan your favorite stores ads for the best prices, but knowing what you are looking for should make it go pretty quick.

Also, I wanted to let our local ladies know that if they wanted to try this way of grocery shopping buy comparing deals and using freebies, I will be happy to accompany you on your first journey. It can be intimidating when you're first starting out and I've gone on several "first" shopping trips and coached the person through it. Once you get going, it also helps to have a friend there sometimes that does the same things you do to share coupons with or bounce ideas of off. I know I usually go to Target once a week with a friend. It's a fun cheap way to get out the house and visit with your friends and get shopping done at the same time.

I will still be blogging, I love it. I will bring you great deals, coupons, samples, giveaways, and other wonderful tips to help us be better wives and mommies. Keep watching to see what MooreGirlyMom brings you next!
